Onboarding Checklist Audit for the First 90 Days
Check whether new starters get what they need at the right time.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Audit our onboarding. The checklist or process with dates: [ONBOARDING_PROCESS]. Feedback from recent starters: [STARTER_FEEDBACK]. Time to first productive task, if known: [TIME_TO_PRODUCTIVITY]. Check that the first day (access, equipment, introductions, safety and policies), first week (role clarity, training, buddy, first tasks), first month (goals, feedback, relationships), and first 90 days (review, development) are covered. Identify items done too late, items with no owner, and delays in access or equipment. Make a table with Stage, Item, Owner, Due date, Status in practice, and Gap. Count items completed on time across the last five starters with the arithmetic. Propose a timeline of key milestones and a check-in schedule (day 1, week 1, day 30, day 60, day 90) with questions to ask. Mark legal requirements for contracts and right-to-work checks as [VERIFY] with HR. Add a worked on-time analysis: of 5 recent starters, laptop on day 1 for 3 (60 percent), system access complete in week 1 for 2 (40), first goals agreed by day 30 for 4 (80); and a table showing owners for each delayed item with a fix such as a pre-start checklist for IT.
