Google Docs Workshop Facilitator Guide
Plan a workshop with timings and prompts the facilitator can read.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Create a facilitator guide for a workshop. Topic and goal: [TOPIC_AND_GOAL]. Participants and size: [PARTICIPANTS]. Length: [LENGTH]. Materials available: [MATERIALS]. Provide a timeline table with start time, duration, activity, purpose and materials, with durations that add up to the total (show the arithmetic and highlight buffers), the exact opening script, activity instructions in words the facilitator can read aloud, discussion questions, and closing and feedback questions. Plan for timing running over (what to cut) and a contingency list: a very quiet group, a group that finishes early, and a technical failure. Mark risks such as dominant voices with responses. Keep the language inclusive and the activities accessible, and offer a shorter version at half the length. Add a day-before checklist (test the link or room, print handouts, prepare name cards, check access needs with participants) and two ways to measure whether the workshop worked: a three-question survey at the end and a follow-up action check after two weeks.

Invented timeline for a 90-minute workshop: 10 (welcome) + 15 (context) + 25 (group activity) + 10 (break) + 20 (share-back) + 10 (actions and feedback) = 90 minutes. If timing runs over, cut the context section to 10 minutes and shorten the share-back to 15. Facilitator opening script, excerpt: 'Welcome. By the end of the session you will have a draft plan for your team. We have ninety minutes, including a break. Please keep cameras optional and use the chat for questions.' Handout list: one-page template, three discussion questions, further reading placeholders. Buffer: 5 minutes are held inside the share-back for overrun.
