Google Docs Comment Replies and Resolution Log
Draft replies to comments and record what was changed.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Help me answer the comments on my Google Doc. Comments with the quoted text they refer to: [COMMENTS_AND_QUOTES]. My decisions where made: [DECISIONS]. For each comment classify it (fix, question, suggestion or disagreement), draft a short reply under 40 words, and give the edited text where I accepted a change. Where a comment is unclear, write the question to ask. Prioritise by effect on the reader. Where I did not give a decision, propose one with the reason, marked as a suggestion for me to confirm, and do not make up reasons for decisions I have not explained. If two comments conflict, point it out and propose how to settle it, and flag those that need a decision from a third person. Check that no reply promises something I did not say I would do. Produce a resolution log table (Comment, Reply, Action, Resolved yes or no) and a count: received, resolved by edit, resolved by explanation, awaiting decision. Suggest one change to my writing habits that would prevent the commonest type of comment.
