Slide Deck Cognitive Load Audit
Find slides with too much text, too many ideas or unclear takeaways.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Audit a presentation for cognitive load. For each slide: title, text on the slide (pasted), visuals described, and speaking time: [SLIDE_CONTENT]. The audience and what they must remember or decide: [AUDIENCE_AND_GOAL]. For each slide count words and bullets with the arithmetic, identify the single message, and rate load from 1 to 5 using criteria I can verify (more than 40 words, more than five bullets, more than one idea, chart without a takeaway, small text). Make a table with Slide, Words, Ideas, Takeaway clear, Load score, and Fix. Calculate the average words per slide and the number of slides above the threshold I set. Suggest how to split, cut, or move content to notes or a handout, and rewrite three slide titles as statements of the takeaway. Provide a revised slide order if the story is hard to follow. Do not change facts or data on my slides. Add a worked slide analysis: slide 7 has 74 words, 9 bullets and two charts, scoring 5; split into three slides each with one message and under 30 words, and move detail to notes. Show the average words per slide before and after for a 20-slide deck.
