Confluence Duplicate and Conflicting Page Finder

Table output

Compare pages that cover the same topic in Confluence, flag contradictions and pick one source of truth with a merge plan.

The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.

[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.

I think our Confluence has several pages explaining the same thing, and they may disagree. Topic: [TOPIC]. I will paste the text of up to [NUMBER_OF_PAGES] pages, each preceded by its title, owner and last-edited date: [PAGES_PASTED].

Please do the following. First, a comparison table with one row per page and the columns Title, Owner, Last edited, What it covers, and Unique content not found elsewhere. Second, a list of conflicts between pages, each quoted briefly (under 15 words per quote) with the two pages named, and a note on which version looks more current and why. Third, pick one page as the proposed source of truth, explain the choice in two sentences, and list exactly which paragraphs should be copied into it from the others. Fourth, a short redirect plan: what the old pages should say at the top, for example "This page is replaced by [LINK]".

Rules: base everything on the text I paste. If two pages conflict and you cannot tell which is right, say so and give the question that the page owner must answer, rather than choosing. Do not rewrite policies or technical steps; only point out where they differ. Mark anything that needs a subject expert to confirm as [VERIFY]. Nothing should be deleted, only archived after owner approval.
