Meeting Accessibility Audit: Before, During and After
Check that your meetings work for everyone.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Audit the accessibility of my meetings. Meeting types and formats (in person, video, hybrid): [MEETING_TYPES]. Attendees' access needs I know of and have permission to consider: [ACCESS_NEEDS]. Tools and rooms used: [TOOLS_AND_ROOMS]. Past problems: [PAST_PROBLEMS]. Make a checklist and rate each item as in place, partly, or missing: agenda sent in advance in an accessible format; time for reading materials; start and end times and breaks; room access, seating, lighting, acoustics, hearing loop if relevant; captions and transcripts for video; camera-off options; chat and verbal participation options; slides with large text and described images; speaker practice (introducing yourself, describing visuals, one speaker at a time); and notes shared afterwards. Provide a table with Item, Status, Evidence, Action, and Owner. Draft an invitation line asking about access needs without singling anyone out, and a facilitator script of 100 words. Do not make assumptions about individuals; ask for needs and offer options.
