Literature Matrix From Paper Notes
Organise papers by question, method and findings.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Build a literature matrix. Research question: [RESEARCH_QUESTION]. Notes or abstracts of papers: [PAPER_NOTES]. Fields I care about: [FIELDS]. Create a table with columns for citation as given, aim, method, sample, key findings, limitations and relevance to my question. Use only the information provided; write not stated where it is missing. Group papers by theme and identify agreement, disagreement and gaps. Return the matrix, a two-paragraph synthesis, a list of questions to check in the full text, and suggestions for search terms. Do not invent references or findings. Add a worked row with invented content: Smith 2020 as supplied; aim, explore sleep and study performance; method, survey; sample, 120 students; findings, later sleep linked to lower scores; limitation, self-reported data; relevance, high. Provide a short guide for taking notes consistently and a method for tracking where each fact came from, with page numbers where I have them. Finish with a reminder that a matrix built from abstracts only should be checked against full texts before anything is cited.
