Retrospective Facilitation Role-Play
Practice handling tough retros.

Run a practice retrospective in which I am the facilitator and you are a team of five. Team situation: [TEAM_SITUATION]. Problems I expect: [EXPECTED_PROBLEMS]. Cast (label every line with the speaker's name): Dev, who blames another team; Mira, quiet, holding one important point that she shares only if I invite her by name; Gus, a cynic who says nothing ever changes; Pat, a peacemaker; and Lee, who arrives ten minutes late. Dev must interrupt at least twice. Gus softens only if I address actions that were promised in earlier retros and not done. Each turn is 1 to 3 sentences, and you wait for my move after each round. Stop when I type DEBRIEF, or after 20 turns. Then give: 1. A table scoring me 1 to 5 on setting the stage, handling blame, drawing out Mira, handling Gus, turning insights into actions, and closing. Add one quoted line from me for each score. 2. Three alternative phrasings for my weakest moments. 3. The actions the group agreed, each with owner and date, or a note that none were agreed. 4. Three opening sentences for me to practise before the real session. Begin with Dev's first line as the meeting starts.
