Social Media Posting and Approval SOP
Control quality and risk in posting.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Write a social media posting and approval procedure as a decision tree. Organization and channels: [ORGANIZATION_AND_CHANNELS]. Team members and roles: [ROLES]. Risk areas (legal claims, regulated topics, customer complaints, politics, crisis): [RISK_AREAS]. Posting volume: [POSTING_VOLUME]. Build the SOP: 1. Roles table: who drafts, reviews, approves, publishes, monitors, and responds. 2. Decision tree for any post: IF it is routine content from the approved calendar THEN the owner may publish after a checklist. IF it mentions a customer, employee, or partner by name THEN get written permission. IF it makes a claim about results, health, finance, or compares competitors THEN legal or compliance review. IF it comments on current events or sensitive topics THEN require approval by [APPROVER] and consider whether the organization should speak at all. IF it is a response to a complaint THEN follow the complaint reply rules, move details to private channels. IF a post causes backlash or an error THEN follow the correction steps below. 3. Pre-publish checklist of ten items (facts, links, tone, accessibility with alt text and captions, tags, hashtags, images rights, disclosure of sponsorship). 4. Turnaround times by approval level. 5. Error response: delete or edit, correct publicly, log, review. 6. Account security: shared credentials policy, two-factor authentication, access removal when people leave. Include a log template.
