Constraint-Led Writing: Word Caps and Format Rules
Get tight output by stating limits clearly.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Write [DELIVERABLE] about [SUBJECT] for [AUDIENCE]. Hard limits: no more than [WORD_LIMIT] words; exactly [NUMBER_OF_POINTS] points; each point one sentence of 20 words or fewer; start with the most important point; no adjectives that cannot be checked, such as amazing or best. After writing, count the words and points yourself, show the counts, and fix any breach before replying. Then give two alternative versions at 75 percent and 50 percent of the word limit, keeping the same points in the same order. If the limits make an accurate statement impossible, tell me which limit to relax and why, instead of cutting content that changes the meaning. End with the one point you would remove first if I needed to go shorter. Offer a second pass that restores detail only where it carries meaning, for example one example or one number, and show what was added so I can accept or decline it. If the stated limits conflict with each other, such as a 40-word cap and ten required points, say so before writing. Always show the final word count and the count of points as a small table with target and actual columns.
