I want to compare expert and plain versions of one message. Message: [MESSAGE]. Field: [FIELD]. Expert audience: [EXPERT_AUDIENCE]. Lay audience: [LAY_AUDIENCE]. Produce two versions. The expert version uses precise terms of the field, shorter sentences because readers know the background, and no explanations of basics. The plain version replaces each term with everyday words or a short explanation, keeps all facts, and adds nothing the original did not say. Then make a table with columns Term, Expert meaning, Plain wording and Information lost or added, listing at least eight terms. Finally state which version suits each of these situations: a regulator, a customer email, an internal chat, a training slide. Mark any technical claim I should have checked by a specialist [VERIFY]. Add a short warning about danger zones: places where the plain version is shorter but changes the meaning, such as legal duties, medical dosages or technical tolerances. For each danger zone found, keep the precise wording in the plain version in brackets and mark it for an expert [VERIFY]. Add a final recommendation on which version to publish for my stated situation, and a two-sentence test for a colleague: ask them to explain the plain version back to you without looking, then compare what they say with the original.
