Calculated Field and Filter Logic Audit
Check calculations for errors, hidden filters and misleading aggregates.

Audit the logic in a Tableau workbook. The calculated fields with formulas, the filters on each worksheet and on the data source, and level-of-detail expressions: [CALCULATIONS_AND_FILTERS]. A known total to check against: [KNOWN_TOTALS]. For each calculation explain in plain words what it does, check for typical problems (division without a zero check, averages of averages, mixing aggregate and non-aggregate fields, double counting after joins, date logic errors, hidden filters that change totals), and test against a small invented example. Make a table with Item, Formula, Plain meaning, Risk, and Test. Compare totals across worksheets for consistency with the arithmetic. Provide a checklist for publishing (filters visible, defaults documented, units labelled). Do not rewrite formulas that depend on my data model without asking; mark syntax-specific suggestions [VERIFY]. Add a worked average-of-averages trap: two regions with 10 orders at 100 average and 90 orders at 50 average give a true average of 55, not 75; show how a calculated field can produce the wrong figure and the check to use. Include a list of hidden filters to look for before publishing.
