Audit the performance of a Tableau workbook. Symptoms and load times: [SYMPTOMS]. Data source type, rows and extract or live: [DATA_SOURCE]. Number of sheets on the dashboard, filters and calculations: [DASHBOARD_DETAILS]. Performance recording findings if available: [RECORDING_FINDINGS].

Check for too many sheets on one dashboard, many quick filters showing all values, complex calculations on large data, string calculations, live connections to slow databases, large images or custom shapes, unnecessary dimensions, and unused fields. Explain each issue's likely effect, how to test it by changing one thing at a time (not many at once), and the fix, ranked by expected benefit per hour of effort. State hypotheses, not claims. Worked timing table (invented): opens in 18 seconds; removing two of nine sheets gives 12; replacing a string-heavy calculation with a pre-computed field gives 7; switching a quick filter to relevant values [VERIFY] gives 5. For the top three give a before-and-after test: what to time, how many runs (clear cache, three runs, record the median), and the improvement that counts as success. Add a plain guide to reading the performance recording [VERIFY], a performance budget for future dashboards (for example no more than six sheets and under eight seconds on a typical connection, as a guide to test), and a timing table template.
