Figma Design Token and Variable Naming Audit
Check naming, scales and duplication in tokens.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Audit design tokens or variables. List of tokens with name, value, type and usage count: [TOKEN_LIST]. Naming convention in use: [CONVENTION]. Find duplicates with identical values and different names, near-duplicate values, tokens named after a value rather than a role (blue-500 used as a button colour), tokens never used, inconsistent scales for spacing and type, and missing tokens for states. Present counts with arithmetic, for example 86 colour tokens of which 31 duplicate another value is 36 percent. Check text and background token pairs for contrast only where I supply hex values [VERIFY]. Propose a two-level scheme: primitive tokens named by family and step (blue-500) and semantic tokens named by role (color/action/primary), with a mapping table from current to new names for ten examples. Plan the migration so designs in use do not break: add the new tokens, alias old to new, update components, deprecate old names after a period, then remove. Return a table and a message to designers and developers.
