Word Proofreading Quality Check: Did the Edit Change the Meaning?
Compare an original and an edited version and flag changes of meaning.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Compare the original and the edited version of a text and tell me whether the edit changed the meaning. The original: [ORIGINAL_TEXT]. The edited version: [EDITED_TEXT]. What the editor was asked to do (proofread only, shorten, change tone): [EDIT_BRIEF].
Be strict about meaning and relaxed about style, with evidence for each concern. Go sentence by sentence and classify each difference as a correction (spelling, grammar, punctuation), a style change, a structural change, a change of meaning, or a deletion or addition of information. List every number, date, name, commitment, condition and negation (not, never, unless) in the original and check it survives unchanged. Flag softened or strengthened claims ('may' changed to 'will'), changed quantifiers (some, most, all) and added content. Count the differences by type with arithmetic and say whether the edit stayed inside the brief.
Output a table (Original, Edited, Type of change, Concern level), a verdict (safe to accept, accept after queries, or reject), and the queries to send the editor. A comparison cannot tell me whether the original facts were right.
