Google Sheets Form Responses to Clean Reports Pipeline
Turn raw form responses into a stable report.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Design a flow from a Google Form to a report sheet. Form questions and answer types: [FORM_QUESTIONS]. What I need to see in the report: [REPORT_NEEDS]. Who edits and who reads: [ROLES]. Structure: leave the response sheet untouched (and do not insert columns in it when the form changes, as this can break formulas); build a cleaning sheet with formulas that trim, standardise spellings and convert dates and numbers; a summary sheet with counts and percentages; and a chart sheet. Give formula examples using ARRAYFORMULA or QUERY where suitable [VERIFY], and explain how new rows are picked up automatically and how edits and deletions in the response sheet are handled. Keep the report separate from raw responses and use a simple naming scheme for the sheets. Include a data protection note: collect only needed fields, limit sharing of the response sheet, and delete or anonymise when finished [VERIFY local rules]. Provide a test plan with five sample responses including blank and odd answers.
