Guest Research Brief and Question Bank
Prepare for an interview that goes beyond the bio.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Prepare me to interview [GUEST_NAME] for my show about [SHOW_TOPIC]. Material I have about them (bio, previous interviews, links, or notes): [GUEST_MATERIAL]. My audience: [AUDIENCE]. Episode length: [EPISODE_LENGTH].
Create a brief with:
1. Who they are in five lines and what they are known for. Use only the material I gave you; mark anything else as [VERIFY].
2. What has been asked many times already (so I can avoid it) and what has not been explored.
3. The angle of this episode in one sentence.
4. A question bank in five groups: opening warm-ups, origin story, craft and decisions, a controversial or difficult area (asked respectfully), and the close. Provide 20 questions total, each with a follow-up probe.
5. Three "story prompts" ("Tell me about a time when...").
6. Topics to avoid or handle with care.
7. A running order of the conversation with times.
Add a pre-interview email (100 words) asking for their preferences, and a closing question that listeners will remember. Do not invent facts about the guest.
Confirm each fact and figure against your records or the official documentation first, and have a qualified professional check any legal, safety or financial consequence before it is relied on.

Optional: type your details and the prompt above updates. Nothing is saved or sent.
