Set up a rolling forecast routine. Current annual budget: [BUDGET]. Actuals to date: [ACTUALS]. Known changes (new contracts, lost customers, price changes, hires): [KNOWN_CHANGES]. Explain the routine: each month replace the forecast for the closed month with actuals, extend the horizon by one month so it always covers 12 months, review assumptions, and record changes. Provide a template with columns for budget, previous forecast, latest forecast, variance, and comment per line. Using my data, compute the new full-year outlook = actuals to date + remaining months forecast, and the gap versus budget, showing arithmetic. Add a 60-minute monthly agenda, rules (change forecasts only with evidence), a version log, and a summary for the owner (120 words). Provide a worked example for two months with made-up numbers labelled as an example, showing actuals replacing forecast and the new twelve-month total, and state who signs off the updated forecast and where versions are stored. Remember that all outputs are estimates calculated from my inputs alone and not from outside data. This exercise gives no accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. Have the output reviewed by a financial professional who knows [JURISDICTION], such as an accountant, before using it.
