Scene List Builder From Outline
Break an outline into scenes with purpose and change.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Convert my outline into a scene list. Outline: [PASTE_OUTLINE]. Number of chapters or target word count: [TARGET_LENGTH]. Point-of-view characters: [POV_CHARACTERS]. For each scene write: a working title, point-of-view character, location and time, goal, conflict, outcome (yes, no, yes but, no and), what changes in the situation, and the emotional shift. Mark the scenes that carry the major turning points. Present everything in a table, then check the list for problems: stretches where the same type of scene repeats, characters absent for too long, scenes with no change, and missing set-ups for later payoffs. Suggest which scenes to combine or cut. Provide a word-count budget per act based on my target length. Add a column called Setup or Payoff that links scenes to the earlier or later scene they depend on, and finish with a short list of the five scenes that carry the most weight and should be drafted first. If my outline has fewer scenes than the target length needs, show where new scenes are required and what question each should answer.
