Confluence Product Roadmap Page With Confidence Levels
Communicate plans honestly.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Write a product roadmap page. Themes and initiatives with target quarter: [INITIATIVES]. Confidence for each (committed, planned, exploring): [CONFIDENCE]. Dependencies: [DEPENDENCIES]. Audience: [AUDIENCE]. Write the opening paragraph in about 80 words: the purpose, how to read the confidence levels, and a plain statement that plans can change and dates are targets. Then lay out themes with outcomes, a table with Theme, Initiative, Outcome, Quarter, Confidence, Owner and Link, what is not on the roadmap and why, how decisions change it, and a feedback route. Do not promise dates for items marked exploring. Use only my information. Set the rule for changes: any change to a committed item is recorded in a change log with the reason and announced in the channel. Add a review every two weeks and a short announcement message for updates. Treat menu paths and field names as unconfirmed until checked in my own instance [VERIFY]. Say which initiatives depend on others so readers can see why a date moved. Keep the whole page to one screen of reading and list the three questions readers ask most often at the bottom.
