Title Tag and Meta Description Rewrite Table
Improve search snippets for many pages at once.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Rewrite title tags and meta descriptions for a set of pages. Site and audience: [SITE_AND_AUDIENCE]. Brand name and position preference (end of title): [BRAND_NAME]. Pages with URL, current title, current description, target query, and clicks and impressions if known: [PAGE_TABLE]. Return BEFORE and AFTER for each page in a table: URL | Current title | Problem | New title | Characters | Current description | Problem | New description | Characters. Rules: titles around 50 to 60 characters, put the most important words first, describe the page honestly, include the target topic naturally, avoid repeating the brand name excessively, and make each title unique; descriptions around 120 to 155 characters, written as a short pitch with a reason to click and no misleading claims, with a call to action where natural. Use sentence or title case consistently. Do not copy competitor wording or promise things the page does not deliver. Add: a list of pages whose titles are duplicated; a rule for templates on large sites (product, category, blog); notes on how search engines may rewrite snippets; and a test plan to compare click-through rate before and after in the search performance report over 4 weeks, with caution about seasonality. Mark pages where I did not supply enough information as [NEEDS INFO].
