Review recent changes in a Google Sheet. Version history entries with date, editor and a description of what changed: [CHANGE_LIST]. Parts of the sheet that must not change: [PROTECTED_AREAS].

Make a table with Date, Editor, Area changed, Type of change, Intended (yes or no) and Question. Classify changes as intended, uncertain or risky (formula changes, deleted rows, edits to protected areas, edits late at night by unusual users), count by category and editor, and show arithmetic, for example 19 of 52 changes touched formulas. Look for a formula replaced by a value, a deleted row in a ledger, changes just before a report was sent, and edits to protected areas. Keep a neutral tone: most changes are innocent mistakes, and bad intent should not be assumed.

Investigation example: a total changes from 482,300 to 428,300 at 17:42; version history shows a formula replaced by a typed number in D44; write the question to the editor, the correction and the prevention (protect the formula column). Explain what version history may not show, such as changes in connected files, and how to restore safely: copy the current version first, restore, note the reason [VERIFY]. Suggest named versions at month end, a log tab for important changes, and a weekly review.
