Confluence Duplicate and Overlapping Pages Audit
Find pages that repeat each other before they confuse readers.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Audit a Confluence space for duplicates and overlap. A list of pages with title, parent, owner, last edited, views in the last 90 days and a one-sentence description: [PAGE_LIST]. Search terms people use and the pages they open: [SEARCH_DATA]. Group pages by topic and mark groups of two or more that seem to serve the same purpose. For each group give the evidence (similar titles or descriptions, searches that lead to different pages), the page that seems the right keeper (newest, most viewed, best owner), and a confidence of high, medium or low, separating certain duplicates from possible ones. Count the groups, the pages involved, and their share of the space, with arithmetic. Flag groups where the conflict could cause harm, such as two versions of a policy. Output a table with Group, Pages, Evidence, Suggested keeper, Confidence and Action (merge, redirect, archive, ask owner), then a prioritised plan with harmful conflicts first and effort in minutes per group, and the first five actions that would help readers most. Base everything on the list, say what you cannot judge without reading the pages, and do not recommend deletion without owner agreement.
