Review site search using Google Analytics data. Top internal search terms with counts, searches with no results, pages where searches start, and exits after search: [SEARCH_DATA].

Method: export the terms with counts, merge spelling variants, group them by intent (product, support, price, jobs) and mark those that returned no results. Calculate the no-results share (140 of 900 searches is 15.6 percent) and the search exit rate (exits after search divided by searches). Present the top 20 terms with count, results shown and the page where people searched. For the five biggest gaps write a recommendation: create a page, rename an existing page to match the term people use, add a synonym or featured result, or fix navigation, and count how many searches each would affect.

Check the effect a month later by comparing the no-results share and exit rate, and set a monthly routine. Internal search tracking must be enabled and checked in the setup [VERIFY]; verify menu names, defaults and policies against current help pages.
