Citation Accuracy Check for Research-Style Content
Verify that cited sources say what we claim.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Verify that the sources cited in my content really support what I say. Content with citations: [PASTE_CONTENT]. Source texts or abstracts I can provide: [PASTE_SOURCES]. If I did not provide a source, treat the citation as unverified and tell me what to look up. For each citation, follow this tree and report the outcome: 1. Does the source exist (author, title, year, publisher are consistent)? IF I cannot confirm THEN mark UNVERIFIED and stop. 2. Do the provided source texts say what the content claims? IF yes THEN SUPPORTED, with the matching passage. IF the source says something narrower or different THEN OVERSTATED or MISREPRESENTED, with both texts side by side. 3. Is the source primary (original study or data) or secondary (reporting on it)? Prefer primary. 4. Is the source current enough for the claim? 5. Is the claim a causal statement supported only by correlation? 6. Are the numbers, units, and populations the same? Output a table: Claim | Citation | Status | Evidence | Suggested correction. Summarize the three most serious problems. Never confirm a citation from memory; do not invent sources, and say so when you cannot verify.
