Open rates are affected by email privacy features on many devices, so treat them as rough signals and mark conclusions drawn from them [VERIFY]. Keep rewrites honest; no fake urgency. Where I give no information about an email's content, ask instead of guessing. Add a worked example with invented figures: for a subject line of 74 characters against a limit of 50, show the count and a tightened version.
