Help me write Jira Query Language (JQL) searches. My projects and issue types: [PROJECTS_AND_TYPES]. Custom fields and statuses I use: [FIELDS_AND_STATUSES]. Questions I want answered: [QUESTIONS], for example which bugs are open for more than 30 days, what did the team finish last sprint, which stories have no estimate, what is blocked, what is assigned to nobody.

Give a table with Question, JQL, What it does and Check. Explain each query clause by clause: the field, operator, value and ordering. Cover functions for dates and sprints such as relative dates and open sprints [VERIFY which are available in my version], text search, empty checks, and combining conditions with brackets. Examples in words: unassigned issues created in the last seven days; bugs open longer than 30 days ordered by priority; issues resolved in the last sprint; stories without an estimate in the next sprint; issues updated by me this week. Check each result: count it, open three results, and change one condition to see the count move.

Common mistakes: field names with spaces needing quotes, status names that differ per project, using = where IN is needed, and forgetting that ORDER BY goes last. Suggest which queries to save as filters, which to put on a dashboard gadget, and how to subscribe to a filter by email on a weekday [VERIFY], and name filters so teammates can find them. Review before sharing: test in a small project, check the count, and exclude closed projects by mistake. Never edit issues in bulk from a query without checking the results first. Names of screens and options differ by edition, so mark anything unconfirmed [VERIFY].
