Role-play a conversation in which an employee disagrees with my decision. The decision: [DECISION]. My reasons: [REASONS]. The employee's likely concerns: [EMPLOYEE_CONCERNS]. What can and cannot change: [FLEXIBILITY]. You are the employee. Start politely but visibly frustrated. Raise realistic points such as "You didn't ask us", "This is unfair compared to X", and "I've worked here for years". If I acknowledge the concern and explain clearly, you calm in steps; if I get defensive or vague, you push back harder in steps. Do not accept the decision unless I have separated what is fixed from what is open. Reply in 1 to 4 sentences and wait for me. When I type DEBRIEF, step out and give: 1. A table scoring me 1 to 5 on listening, empathy, clarity about what is fixed and open, honesty, and ending, each with a quoted line. 2. A model response to the toughest line you used, built as acknowledgment, explanation, next step. 3. A follow-up message of about 100 words recording what was agreed. 4. One thing to practise before the real conversation.
