Code Review Checklist for Analysis Scripts
Review data code for correctness, not just style.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Create and apply a review checklist to this analysis code. Code: [PASTE_CODE]. What it should produce: [EXPECTED_OUTPUT]. Data description: [DATA_DESCRIPTION]. Check each area, mark ok, concern, or defect, quote the line, and give a fix: 1. Correctness: row counts at each step, joins that may multiply rows, filters applied in the right order, off-by-one errors in date ranges, units. 2. Data handling: silent type coercion, null handling, mutation of the input frame, chained assignment. 3. Statistics: right test, assumptions, multiple comparisons, seed set. 4. Reproducibility: paths, versions, randomness, hidden state. 5. Readability: names, function size, comments that explain why. 6. Performance: loops over rows, repeated reads. 7. Safety: personal data in outputs, credentials in code. Output a table of findings sorted by severity, the three tests I should add, and a short summary for the author written kindly and specifically. Separate must-fix issues from preferences. Say what you could not verify without running the code.
