Creature or Species Design Sheet
Create non-human beings with biology and culture.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Design a creature or species. Habitat: [HABITAT]. Role in the story: [ROLE]. Intelligence level: [INTELLIGENCE]. Complete a design sheet: appearance, senses, diet, reproduction, lifespan, social structure, communication, tools, how the habitat shaped these traits, vulnerabilities, and how humans misunderstand them. Add three behaviours that surprise a viewpoint character and a short scene of first contact written in 120 words. Check for internal consistency and give a plausibility rating from 1 to 5 with the weakest link named. Suggest how to describe the creature in two sentences without over-explaining. Avoid direct imitation of well-known fictional creatures. Add a table of four story roles this creature could play (threat, ally, mystery, resource), the scene that shows each, and what it reveals about the humans. Provide a naming guide for the species in the languages of two cultures that encounter it, and a note on keeping a creature scary by limiting what the reader sees.
