Table Read Feedback Session Plan
Run a reading to test your script.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Plan a table read for my script. Script length and genre: [LENGTH_GENRE]. Available readers: [READERS]. Where and when: [LOGISTICS]. Prepare: cast the readers by voice, a reading copy checklist, instructions for the reader sheet, a stage-directions reader, and timing. Write the facilitator's introduction (2 minutes), what to listen for, and a feedback form with questions about clarity, pace, character, and moments of confusion, including a place to mark where attention dropped. Provide ground rules for feedback, a method to capture notes, and a debrief plan separating observations from solutions. Add follow-up steps to prioritise changes. Add a post-read survey of five questions to send within a day and a method for converting notes into a revision list, grouped by theme. Include accessibility options for remote readers, such as sharing the script in advance and using a video call with a timer, and a note thanking readers and setting expectations about what will change.
