Develop a flawed protagonist for [GENRE] fiction. The premise in one line: [PREMISE]. The kind of reader I want to reach: [READERS]. Constraints (age, culture, profession) I want to keep: [CONSTRAINTS].

Create three candidate protagonists, each with a central flaw that causes trouble in the premise, a hidden strength that the flaw overshadows, a misbelief about the world, and the first scene that shows the flaw in action. Present them in a comparison table and score each from 1 to 5 on conflict potential, likability despite the flaw, and freshness, explaining the scores. Recommend one and draft its arc in five beats: flaw on display, flaw causes damage, false victory, cost realised, change or tragic refusal to change. Avoid stereotypes tied to identity and note where my constraints may need research or a sensitivity reader.

For the recommended protagonist, add three scene ideas where the flaw creates a problem the character could have avoided, and one scene where the flaw is briefly an advantage. Include a list of five questions to test whether readers will keep following someone with this flaw, and what to do if early readers say the character is unlikeable.
