Plan a regression suite in Postman. API purpose and critical journeys: [CRITICAL_JOURNEYS]. Recent bugs: [RECENT_BUGS]. Release frequency: [RELEASE_FREQUENCY]. Environments and how data is reset: [ENVIRONMENTS_AND_DATA]. A short suite the team trusts beats a long one it ignores. Table of flows with Flow, Requests in order, Variables passed, Assertions and Cleanup. Example flow of eight requests: sign in, create customer, create order, add payment, confirm, fetch order, cancel, fetch again, with assertions for each. Time budget: 45 requests at 0.6 seconds each is 27 seconds plus setup. Data handling: dedicated test accounts, unique identifiers per run, cleanup so runs are repeatable, no dependence on the clock, and retries only for network errors, not assertion failures. Pass criteria and action on failure: stop the release, triage within an hour, record the decision. Run it from the command line or pipeline [VERIFY tools and commands]. Run record template: Date, Build, Environment, Requests run, Passed, Failed, Time, Decision; for example 45 run, 44 passed, 1 failed on the cancel order flow, decision no-go until fixed. Flaky tests are recorded and quarantined with an owner and a date. Add a test for every escaped bug, with owner and deadline, and a monthly review.
