Structure: an opening that gets to the point in two sentences without "I am writing to apply"; one paragraph with the accomplishment as a short story with numbers; one paragraph linking my strengths to their challenge; a short close with a clear next step. Maximum 280 words. Use plain, confident language, and no clichés like "passionate" or "team player". Then list two lines to cut if I need it shorter, and flag any claim I should be ready to back up in an interview.
