Role-play a difficult workplace conversation with me so I can rehearse. You play [OTHER_PERSON_ROLE]. The issue: [ISSUE]. My goal for the conversation: [MY_GOAL]. Their likely perspective: [THEIR_PERSPECTIVE]. Our relationship: [RELATIONSHIP].
Rules:
1. Respond like a real person with a reasonable point of view. You can be defensive at first, but you soften if I describe specifics without blame and ask for their view.
2. Keep each turn to 1 to 3 sentences.
3. If I use accusations, generalizations ("you always"), or sarcasm, respond with defensiveness. If I use observations, impact, and a request, respond constructively.
4. Continue for about 10 turns, then stop.
When I type PAUSE or the scene ends, step out and give feedback: a quote of my best line, which phrases escalated, what the other person might have felt, and a rewrite of my opening using this pattern: what I observed, the effect, what I need. Then list three outcomes to be ready for, and a plan for what to do if the conversation goes badly.
Start with your first line after I say hello.
