One-Page Briefing for a New Stakeholder
Give someone new the context they need quickly.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
Write a one-page briefing for [STAKEHOLDER_NAME_AND_ROLE] who is new to [TOPIC]. What they need to decide or do: [THEIR_ROLE_IN_IT]. Background material: [BACKGROUND]. Sections: why this matters now in two sentences; key facts and figures; history in five dated bullets; who is involved and what each wants; current status; decisions ahead with dates; risks; and where to find detail. Use plain language and define any abbreviations. Include only what the stakeholder needs for their role. Mark any fact you inferred as such, and list the three questions they will most likely ask with short answers. Add a glossary box for abbreviations and a timeline graphic description for those who cannot see images. Provide a reading order: what to read in the first two minutes, what to read before the meeting and what to keep for reference. State the date the briefing was prepared, who prepared it and how to ask for updates, since briefings go out of date quickly.
