WordPress Content Freshness, Broken Links and Thin Page Audit
Find pages to update, merge or remove.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Audit site content. Export of pages and posts with title, URL, publish date, last modified, word count, traffic over 12 months and notes on broken links: [CONTENT_EXPORT]. Calculate the number of pages, those not modified in 24 months (36 of 120 is 30 percent), those under 150 words, those with no traffic, and pages with broken links, with arithmetic. Classification table with Page, Traffic, Age, Word count and Decision: keep and update, merge, redirect or remove. Do not delete pages with inbound links or traffic without a redirect plan; name the redirect target for each removal, and for merges say which page survives and how to combine the content. Thin pages may still serve a purpose, such as a contact page, so judgement is needed. Order the work by traffic and effort, with estimated hours. Product screens and settings change over time; tag anything you are unsure of [VERIFY] and compare it with the official documentation.
