[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Audit a standard operating procedure. The SOP text: [SOP_TEXT]. The task's risks and who performs it: [RISKS_PERFORMERS]. Times the procedure was not followed: [DEVIATIONS]. Read it as a newcomer. Mark steps that assume knowledge, steps that combine several actions, missing tools or access, unclear decision points, no stop conditions, no definition of done, and steps that disagree with how work is really done. Return a table with Step, Problem, Severity (red, amber, green) and Rewrite, a score from 1 to 10 for clarity, completeness and realism, and a one-page checklist version. Safety-critical steps need review by a qualified person [VERIFY]. Also test the procedure with someone who has not done the task, watching silently and noting every question they ask, and suggest where photos, diagrams or short videos would help more than text. Then build a controlled pilot of the revised SOP. Describe how to select two staff members of different experience, the observation plan, the questions to ask afterwards, and the measures to record, such as time, errors and number of times they needed help. Create a revision log with the date, the change, the reason and the approver. Provide a training outline for introducing the SOP, with a walkthrough and a short check of understanding. Explain how to keep the SOP short by linking to detail pages and removing background that belongs in training. Add a review schedule and a method for staff to suggest improvements, such as a simple form. Suggest how to store the SOP so the current version is the only one visible. Safety-critical or regulated tasks need review by a qualified person [VERIFY] for [JURISDICTION]. Add a final check of the SOP against an incident or near miss, to see whether following the document would have prevented it, and update accordingly. Add a closing note that separates confirmed problems from suspected ones, and say what evidence would turn each suspicion into a finding or rule it out.

Newcomer read-through (invented SOP: closing the till) Step 2 "Reconcile the float" assumes the reader knows the float amount (150). Red. Add the number. Step 4 combines counting cash, bagging it and completing the form. Split into three. Step 6 "Secure the premises" has no list. Amber. Add: back door, alarm, lights. Missing: who to call if the count differs by more than 5; definition of done. Deviation seen: staff skip the form on busy nights. Scores: clarity 5, completeness 4, realism 6. One-page checklist: count, record, bag, sign, bank drop box, alarm, lights, lock, send the end-of-day message. Safety-critical steps need review [VERIFY].
