Social Account Access and Admin Security Audit
Defensive checklist review of who can post, admin or access your business social accounts, with leaver and two-step verification gaps.
The Open buttons send the prompt text as currently shown below to that site only when you click. Fill in the placeholders first.
[VERIFY] is an editorial flag, not a blank to fill. Wherever the prompt shows [VERIFY], check that item against a reliable source before you use it.
Run a defensive access review of the social media accounts my organisation owns. I will list each account (platform, handle), who has admin or posting rights (names or roles), which tools or agencies are connected, who holds the recovery email and phone, whether two-step verification is on, and when access was last reviewed: [ACCOUNT_ACCESS_LIST]. People who have left or changed role recently: [ROLE_CHANGES]. Return: 1) A table with the columns Account, Access holder, Risk (leaver still has access, shared password, personal account as sole admin, no backup admin, third-party app with broad rights, recovery details tied to one person, no two-step verification), Severity, and Action. 2) Counts of accounts, admins per account, accounts with a single admin, accounts without two-step verification, and unknown connected apps. 3) A target model: at least two named admins, role-based access, a password manager rather than shared documents, and a leaver step. 4) A checklist for handing over access when someone leaves. 5) A plan with owners and dates, starting with the highest risk. Rules: do not ask me to paste passwords, codes or tokens, and do not repeat any I include by mistake. This is a defensive review of accounts I am responsible for. Settings and menus differ by platform and change, so mark every platform step [VERIFY]. Do not suggest removing anyone without confirming with a manager. If an account looks compromised, advise using the platform's official recovery route.
