Review tax on my invoices. Sample invoices with line items and tax shown: [INVOICE_SAMPLE]. Tax rules as my accountant described them: [TAX_RULES_DESCRIBED]. Customer types: [CUSTOMER_TYPES].

Recalculate the tax per line and the total using the rates I gave, flag rounding differences, lines with no tax where I said it should apply, and the opposite. Check that tax is shown separately where my notes say it must be.

Return a table with Invoice, Line, Expected, Shown and Difference, the total difference, and questions for my accountant. I am not asking for a tax opinion: rates and treatment depend on rules that a qualified professional must confirm [VERIFY] for [JURISDICTION].

Add a worked recalculation with invented figures. Line one: 100.00 at a rate of 20 percent should give 20.00, shown 20.00, difference 0. Line two: 49.99 at 20 percent should give 10.00 after rounding to the nearest unit, shown 9.99, difference 0.01. Line three: 200.00 flagged as taxable in my notes but shown with no tax, difference 40.00. Total difference 40.01, mostly from line three. Explain rounding: whether tax is calculated per line or on the invoice total can change pennies; ask my accountant which method applies. Provide a table and a short list of questions: why does line three have no tax, is the customer exempt and is evidence held, was the rate changed in the period, and how does the software handle rounding? Add a review of customer tax identification where it matters, such as business customers in other places, as questions for the accountant, with no conclusions from me. Add a control suggestion: a quarterly sample of ten invoices rechecked by a second person, and a log of tax rate changes with dates. Remind me that this exercise uses the rates I supplied and I must confirm them [VERIFY] for [JURISDICTION]. Keep a record of all corrections and the date each was made, and make sure the correction process follows the rules for issuing amended documents.

Invented lines at a 20 percent rate supplied by me.
Line 1: 100.00, expected 20.00, shown 20.00, difference 0.
Line 2: 49.99, expected 9.998 which rounds to 10.00, shown 9.99, difference 0.01.
Line 3: 200.00, flagged taxable in my notes, shown 0, difference 40.00.
Total difference = 0 + 0.01 + 40.00 = 40.01.
Questions for my accountant: why does line 3 have no tax, is the customer exempt and is evidence held, how does the software round? Rates and treatment must be confirmed [VERIFY].
